Thomas DanielPHILLIPSWe are heartbroken to announce the death of Thomas Daniel Phillips, known as Tom to his adoring family and many friends.
Originally from Ruddington in Nottinghamshire, Tom settled in Rustington, West Sussex following graduation from Newcastle University. He built a highly successful finance career advising government clients at PWC, and went on to help co-found Monan Gozzett LLP, where he was pivotal in supporting the law firm's expansion from its head office in Arundel to further sites in Surrey, Hampshire, Yorkshire, and London.
Possessing a wry, mischievous wit, Tom threw himself into many hobbies, projects, and interests. Great company over a glass of wine and good meal, he loved travel, sport, and being outdoors. He is survived by Maria, his cherished wife of almost 30 years, along with his father, John, and his sister, Mary. Tom lived with cancer for two years, and faced the illness with dignity and courage. He leaves behind an unfillable hole for his family and friends and a wonderful legacy of a life well lived.
Tom's funeral, followed by a celebration of his life, will be held on 30 May 2024 16:00, Arun Crematorium.
Donations can be made to The Institute Of Cancer Research.
